The First Annual Discover South Carolina Cup will be played on America’s Golf Island – Hilton Head Island, SC
Sirius/XM PGA TOUR Radio hosts from renowned teacher Michael Breed, former TOUR pros Carl and Dennis Paulson, now-CBS commentator Colt Knost and his sidekick Drew Stoltz, golf journalist Jason Sobel and former caddie Michael Collins, afternoon ONTAP legends John Maginnes and Brian Katrek and The Starter host Taylor Zarzour are all scheduled to attend the festivities and are inviting their listening audiences to attend amid the atmosphere of the South Carolina Lowcountry, with its spectacular golf, exceptional hospitality and 12 miles of pristine ocean breezes to usher in the fall golf season.
HILTON HEAD ISLAND, SOUTH CAROLINA
A complete reconstruction of the Ocean Course, Hilton Head Island’s first golf course, this seaside course has a pronounced Lowcountry feel accented by coquina shells and seaside grass. Modernized by Davis Love III, along with his brother Mark Love and lead architect Scot Sherman, the coastal classic features rebuilt holes to accommodate modern shot values and frame scenic corridors. The course seamlessly incorporates elements of the surrounding beachfront along with native pines and oaks lining the fairways.
You will enjoy a round on the world-famous Harbour Town Golf Links. Home to the RBC Heritage Presented by Boeing, this distinguished course is both the crowning achievement of famed designer Pete Dye and design consultant Jack Nicklaus, and a perennial favorite among PGA TOUR players. Put your game to the ultimate test against a collection of par threes that are ranked among the world’s finest, and a par four 18th hole considered one of the most feared in all of golf. Pete Dye’s masterpiece places a premium on finesse, imagination and shot making, rather than strength.
Named for its legendary designer, the Jones Course was the first in Palmetto Dunes and remains one of Hilton Head Island’s most popular courses. The course is quintessential Jones, with sweeping fairways, large greens and abundant bunkering. The Jones Course has been named “Golf Course of the Year” by the SC Golf Course Owners Association and is ranked among the best courses in the southeast. Among its many highlights is a panoramic view of the Atlantic Ocean from the elevated green of the par-five 10th, one of the island’s most photographed golf holes. The Toptracer Range allows players to receive instant shot feedback, play virtual courses and compete against friends.
